When the application requests of companies that want to put the Ekomark © Label on their products and services are received, a contract is signed with a company first. This contract is to explain the conditions of the service to be provided by our organization and the responsibilities and obligations of both parties. With the signing of the contract, our organization starts Ekomark © certification studies and in this context, first requests documents, statements, test results and similar information from the company proving that the products or services meet the Eco-Label criteria. In addition, it prepares a technical file and sends it to the certification committee for evaluation. The committee is responsible for providing the necessary technical support during the application process. In order to provide this support, the Environmental Management System and Ecological Label committee have been established within the body of the certification body, depending on the Environmental Impact Assessment. ECO Label™ must complete the evaluation work within three months. If a deficiency or non-compliance is detected within this period, the company is notified and they are requested to be completed within six months. The company is required to complete all deficiencies and correct nonconformities within this period. If this period is exceeded, the application made…
When companies apply for Ekomark © certification for their products and services and sign a contract, our organization Ekomark © sends the application request after the preliminary evaluation to the Certification Body and waits for the opinion of the organization. Afterwards, a sample of the product is requested along with information, declaration, document, test results and similar documents that will prove that the products or services applied for the Ekomark © Label meet the desired criteria. This sample is taken for the purpose of testing and analyzing the products. The manufacturer company can carry out the test and analysis studies on the sample and bring the test results to our organization, or these tests can be performed by our organization on the sample taken. However, there are two important points here. The first point is what tests should be done for the products for which certification is requested, and the second point is where and how these tests will be done. In both of these matters, our organization Ekomark © has to inform the companies requesting certification in accordance with the applied Ekomark © Standard principles. In addition, the tests in question must be in accordance with the ISO 17020 General Conditions for product conformity assessment standard.
Our company Ekomark ©, after receiving the certification applications from the companies and making the preliminary evaluation, signs a contract with the company and starts the certification studies. Following the conformity assessment, it sends the application of the company to the Certification Body and waits for the opinion of the organization. In the meantime, companies that are sure that they meet the criteria related to the product group or services they apply must submit the necessary documents, statements, test results and similar information to our organization Ekomark© in order to prove that these products and services meet the Eco-Label criteria. In Ekomark © certification studies, this stage is the sample acceptance stage. At this stage, samples are requested from the applicant company in order to test and analyze their products. The Eco-Label, which will be given to companies by our organization Ekomark ©, is given considering the criteria determined by the ECO Label™ Eco-Label Board, which is an independent organization, and all stages of production. While determining these criteria, every stage from the selection of raw materials for production, production, distribution of finished products, presentation to the consumer, consumption and recycling when they are finished has been taken into consideration. 2010/66/EC revised in 2010…
Our company Ekomark ©, which has completed the necessary accreditation studies, first checks whether the product or service applied for is within the scope of the ECO Label ecological label system when it receives the requests of companies requesting Eco-Label in this direction. In the Ekomark © Standard, criteria have been determined for the product or product groups covered by the Eco-Label. If a non-compliance is not found after the preliminary evaluation, our company Ekomark © makes a mutual agreement with the applicant company before starting the studies. If the EMAS Eco-Management and Audit System or ISO 14001 Environmental Management System has been established and the relevant standards are applied in the companies applying for the Eco-Label, the Ekomark © Certification process can be very easily integrated with these standards that evaluate and improve the quality of the process. Therefore, Ekomark © Certification studies can be done very easily. As it is known, EMAS Eco-Management and Audit System is based on current legal regulations. For example, if there are legal restrictions on the use of a harmful chemical during production, a company that implements the EMAS standard complies with it. As such, the criteria determined for the Eco-Label are also…
The Eco-Label application or Ecological Label System, developed by ECO Label, was launched to help consumers choose greener products and services. Green product or environmentally friendly product means products that are sensitive to environmental conditions, do not consume natural resources, do not pollute the nature, can be recycled or protected. Environmentally sensitive people pay attention to the signs and certification statements on the products. However, some conscious consumers want to go one step further and make sure that nature is well protected in the process from the production stages of green products to their sale in the markets. It questions whether the facilities where these products are produced harm the environment, whether the wastes are managed well, and whether even the transportation operations are carried out with environmentally friendly vehicles. Because unfortunately, some malicious people can make the products look like they are environmentally friendly. Green products should not pose a danger to human or animal health, harm the environment during production, use or waste, should not overuse energy resources and should not create unnecessary waste due to poor packaging or short life span.
