Cleaning Products Eco Certification

As it is known, in the process of joining the European Union, countries have to harmonize their legal regulations with the European Union legislation. Our country has to make new regulations in many areas, taking into account the legal regulations and practices of the European Union. Among these areas is the Eco-Label System. This system was put into practice in the European Union countries in 1992, but with the Council's directive 1980/2000 (EC), it joined the legislation harmonization studies. Despite this, the necessary work for integration has not started immediately. ECO Label USA is also in high demand from the European Union. Europe and the United States do not have the same labeling system, they are different projects.

Since these studies have not been completed yet, the flower logo, which is the ECO Label Eco-Label, is not yet given in our country. In the face of these developments, our organization has developed the Ekomark © Standard, taking into account the conditions and needs of our country, and it is available to companies if requested. Ekomark © Tag use. Our organization has been authorized by the foreign accreditation institution.

Cleaning products are also included in the product groups determined by the ECO Label. Cleaning product group, especially in terms of the chemicals they contain in their formulas. Ekomark © Standard is an important item within the scope. This product group consists of five different categories:

  • General cleaners

This product range includes detergent products for daily cleaning of fixed surfaces such as floors, ceilings, walls and windows. Generally used in indoor areas in homes, offices and production facilities. Glass and window cleaners are also included in this group. Hygienic cleaners are the detergent products used for scrubbing the environments such as laundry room, toilet, bathroom, shower and kitchen.

  • Dishwasher detergent

This product group includes dishwashing detergent used in household dishwashers and rinse products. Also included in this group are dishwashing detergents used in commercial dishwashers with the same technical and volume maintenance requirements.

  • Dishwashing liquid

This product group includes dishes, cutlery, knives, pots, pans and similar kitchenware used for hand washing. It covers all detergents used at home or professionally.

  • Laundry detergents

This product range includes laundry detergents and stain removers provided in powder, liquid or other form. Detergents used for washing in the textile sector or used in general laundries are also included in this group. However, stain removers used for carpets, furniture upholstery or similar materials do not fall into this group.

  • Soap, shampoo and conditioners

This product group includes all rinse agents and mixtures used for washing and in contact with the hair. Hair conditioners used to improve hair are also included in this group. It is possible that these products are used for personal or professional use. However, products used for antibacterial or disinfecting purposes do not fall into this group.
